SYNOPSIS: Young Billy always has his head in the cloud with dreams of secret assignments and beating up bad guys. But one morning in the mission to get ready for school, this wannabe spy forgets a vital part of the operation.
COMMENTARY: I made this film in eighth grade. My friend Jamie (who also stars in the film) and I co-adapted Jamie's short story of the same name into a 5-page screenplay. We filmed the opening dream sequence in the warehouse at the company my grandpa works at. After the owner saw the movie, we weren't allowed to film there anymore.
One really fun thing about this movie was coming up with the fight choreography. We practiced both the hand-to-hand combat scene and the sword fight at my house before the day of the shoot. Also, the rocket gun that Jamie's character fires at the ceiling creates some debris, which we actually made out of styrofoam and dumped onto my uncle.
The thing I didn't know how to pull off was filming on a school bus. We ended up shooting the bus interiors using a church bus, and for the exterior shots I filmed Jamie running towards a real school bus as it made its usual afternoon stop - we only had one take to get it right!
